Spring is springing, but I am still going thru leftover images from last year. Here's another dahlia taken last fall. Fellows Riverside Gardens, Youngstown. Mid morning light. Nikon D700, 180 macro, tripod, polarizer, f16. Larger image included. Comments/criticisms welcome.

May be a fall image Scott, but, it sure is of spring colours. What really makes this image is the BG which is a perfect foil for the bloom. Wonderful image.

Beautiful colors, Scott. And a well composed macro of the dahlia. Using the polarizer really made the colors pop!

Scott: Love the glow in the center and the overall color palette. The drops are very nice icing on a fine cake. >=))>

Excellent image Scott. I really like how the petals are dark at the edges. The light is very nice and the water droplets add the finishing touch.

A real eye-popper Scott! Love the magenta coloring combined with the yellows, the soft complimentary background, and the dew covered petals!

Nicely framed, Scott, with an interesting asymmetry to the composition. The bg glow complements the glow in the flower centre beautifully.
