This is at the entrance of a short canyon the Maggia river has cut for itself near Ponte Brolla in southern Switzerland.

I found this natural sculpture cut into the wall.

I like it :) at 5.6 i wonder if it's sharp throughout....also want a bit more space between the middle part and the right wall...just a bit close together. nicely seen!

I think it is a lovely image like the delicate hints of blue on the curved rim. It seems sharp enough.

Julian, there is an interesting kind of dynamics and flow in your image, and the composition is well balanced to my eye.

Maybe due to compression for web, the lower part seems a bit soft (out of focus?) to me. But that is only a monor matter for me.

my kind of image (although I would have explored it in b&w film!) my instinct would be to give it a slight CCW rotation.

This is really nice, Julian. When I squint at this and cut back on some light it takes on a whole new feel.

Love the forms and design, and the incredible lines in the rock add further movement to a remarkable composition.

Julian,

This is wonderful! A simple and intimate image of form and texture. At quick glance and certainly from the thumbnail, this could easily be a tree trunk. The gentle curve with the leading white edge works beautifully to define the main form and I think you've nailed the comp. This is quite excellent!
