An abandoned car in a ghost town in northern New Mexico taken in 1982 with my Mamiya 645 and Ektachrome Professional 100. Thanks for having a look. Appreciate your feed back.

Hey Eva, I like the car surrounded by the green of the weeds and brush. If it only had the brown soil for a background it would lack any impact. The rust creates a nice contrast with the green. This looks like a very lonely location.

The reds of the rust work nicely with the green leaves, as do the black cinders augmenting the car body.

I think it's interesting how some of these junkers have the door left standing open like the person just got out of the car and left! The location certainly does feel abandoned with all the tall weeds. I like the layered feel to the picture with the bottom tan weeds to the spindly green trees to the barren gray mountains. The variety of textures/colors and the isolation provides a good backdrop for the rusty car.

Cool image Eva--all the fine detail in the branches n leaves make an interesting backdrop and nice contrast to that old rusty car.
