Sunrise and Fog +b/w

I went out to shoot at sunrise this morning knowing that we had some fog rolling in. The fog got really thick in the river valley so I made my way up through some hills where I could at least see the sunrise with a little less fog. This is one of the pictures I made on this wonderful morning.
I posted the wrong one of this first, but with no comments on it yet I was able to delete it and post the right one. Sorry about that! Thanks much for any of your thoughts.
We set a warm temp record here yesterday and looks like we will again today. Crazy warm weather for WI.

Awesome silhouette shot Nick--love the fine detail of the branches against the soft, foggy BG!

Clean. Elegant. Nice light. Pleasing peaceful composition. The fog compliments it a lot.

Beautiful silhoute of a well chosen tree. Great impact from a limited palette of colors which I think strenthens this image. Tree is wonderful with it's and shape and intricate branching with lots of detail. Fog along the river helps as well. Good exposure chosen.

Very beautiful. I have a little nit about no seeing the bottom of the tree to well. If that could be lightened just a tad, I think it would make the image even better.

Love the mood here Nick. The silhouette of the graceful tree is beautiful as is the muted color. The fog as an ethereal dimension. Elegant indeed.

Fantastic work, Nick. The backlight has made it possible to see the fine branches of this gorgeous tree. I also love how the fog has softened things and also simplified the background.

nice silhouette - the brighter orange-red glow around the sun distracts my eye a little - and i begin to wonder how it'd appear as a b&w conversion?? i like the mood enhanced by the fog.

Thanks much for your comments so far on this one! It was a wonderful morning to be out.
Stuart, I decided to try a b/w version too. This one is with a warm/gray tone. I might try another b/w version as well. Thanks, Nick

An outstanding silhouette, Nick. Love how you isolated this single tree against the fields and fog and sunrise as well as the distant treeline. The pattern of the branches is stunning as are the horizontal lines of the fields. Gorgeous.

There is an elegance here that is undeniable. I like the second version best. The muted color adds to the simplicity of the scene.

Nick, I appreciate the way you placed the tree in the frame and the way the silhouette of the twigs is repeated by the ones in the background. The diagonals also work very well for me. I think I prefer the b&w version because of its subtlety that is consistent with this specific atmosphere in my opinion. Thanks for sharing.
