I've been away for a long time and there were two things I missed most...my family and the reds (in that order). So I couldn't wait to start working with these lovely creatures and try some idea's which were in my head for a long time.

iso 400 1/80 sec. f/4 Nikon D3s and Nikon 200-400/4 from a hide

The red squirrels in the UK are quite something. Very different from the red squirrels in the US. You made a nice capture here with a neat setup and he/she responded quite well. Nicely composed, good exposure, and a very good BG.

Wow! Everything looks just right! The colours, the pose, the catchlight, the detail...everything ties together for an awesome image. Nice job!

Nice work! Enjoyable and cute image. I like the alert position of the squirrel. Thanks for sharing.

Nicely done Ed, well composed and love the expression. Would have liked a fraction more at the foot. :toast:

What a brilliantly staged and executed photograph Edwin. Your red friend really was very co-operative and its pose with its claw on the bucket perfected this. I echo Steve's comment about the wish for a sliver more room at the bottom, but that is a minor improvement to a very good image. :toast:
