This young male leopard was sleeping and hiding in the high grasses at Okonjima, the home of the Africat Foundation, until it was awakened by my sneezing, and looked at us straight into our eyes.
It is one of our older images, at the time shot with a Canon EOS 350D at 1/640, f/8.0, ISO 1600 and focal length 300mm with an old 75-300mm Canon lens.

Nice portrait of the leopard. I like how he is looking right at you. Nice colors. TFS

The dappled light here works well for me and is nicely processed. The OOF bright grasses in the FG are a bit of a distraction though. Toning down their brightness selectively will make them less intrusive.

Very intense image. The stare he gives you is quite increadible. Nice capture.
I would tone down the oof grass a bit. Especially the dark green ones. I might desaturate those a bit as well.
A large version would have been nice, to really appreciate the good details.

(Is it the hind paw or tail that is poking out a bit over his left front leg? I can't quite make it out)
