Cuddle up...

These Eastern Woolly lemurs are nocturnal and sleep during daytime cuddled up together on a very comfortable branch. I struggled to get a decent photo here. The only place to stand and see them clearly was full against the bright light. Anyway, not the best of quality but I just wanted to share these cute clump of animals with you.

Hmmm, do you have the feeling you're being watched? Nice behavioral study of an interesting and cativating species. I thnk you did well with the comp and exposure considering you were dealing with the sun here.

Hi Ellen,

A cute clump indeed! As you've acknowledged, the spots of bright light aren't optimal, but you handled the exposure and/or processing of the image very well - a real tricky situation there. In a way I almost like the green tinge throughout the image - that's what happens when shooting with bright light filtering through (and reflecting off of) leaves and to me it looks (and is) quite natural. Love the fingers on the tree!

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

How i wish i could cuddle up with them

Thanks for showing us another cute primate species. Nice job on finding them in a fairly low branch. As others have mentioned, it looks very well done considering the difficult lighting conditions.
