Fire Water

While walking home after photographing the sunset at Bandon Beach, this scene stopped me in my tracks. The light here is from the street lights along the road above the cliffs. To me it looked like the water was on fire, so I titled this one "Fire Water". The seagulls on the rock were an added bonus.

That's quite an interesting photo. Indeed it does look like fire on the water. Certainly street light is not what comes to mind. That other stack fooled me for a minute so I had to examine more closely. So, guess you can say this is a successful image as it made me stop and think.

I thought this was going to be tiki torches at a hotel in Hawaii or something. I wouldn't have guessed streetlights on the water or Bandon for the scene. Love the gulls on the rock-- what a score! Pretty cool image, Scott.

Very cool with the addition of the gulls. Very surprising that they stayed relatively still during the long exposure.
