Roseate Spoonbill

Been busy leading my tours in Florida.....so haven't been here for a while. Favorites from my tour are the roseate spoonbills.....boy those colors make the ugly bill sure look good!
Canon 1D Mark 3 with the Sigma 300-800 @ 800mm at f/8 for 1/3200 sec. at ISO 800 all tripod mounted w/ wimberly head standing in water.

Nice & sharp, great BG, DOF, and pose/POV Roman. Well composed and I like how the FG water has picked up some of the birds colors as well. What time of day/lighting did you have?

Very nice spoonbill shot, Roman. The spoonbill really stands out well against that dark background. You have captured a great wingspread.

Outstanding image. The colors, comp., detail, focus and background are all really great. The wing spread really adds to the image also.

Excellent photo! Black background make it a very dramatic image. Great job. There are a few lighter spots in the black background you might want to try cloning those out.

Great wing position and sharpness, but that dark background really makes this image fro me. Excellent work Roman!!!

Hey Roman, think I prefer this one.

Good detail, colour & pose, but having the wings open like this really adds to the image. Nice low POV too.

I know it's the habitat/environment, but don't go a bundle on the BKG shoreline, but you know me.
