Spring is out in force both here and on the forum. Unfortunately, I haven't touched my camera in several months due to work. So, here's another from late last fall. Cranesbill geranium leaves covered in frost. Reminds me of sugar coated candy, hence the title. Nikon D700, 105 micro nikkor, polarizer, f22, tripod. Fellows Riverside Gardens. Sorry, I have to post this at a smaller sizes than usual due to compression. Thanks for looking. Comments/critiques welcome.

Lovely shot, Scott. Very nice palette of colors and lots of sharp detail in the larger version. Nice pleasing comp and the exposure looks right on. The frost adds another dimension to the image and indeed does make the arrangement look good enough to eat.

Hi Scott. I know the 'work drain' on your time all too well. I hope that you find time to shoot soon. Great range of colors and excellent details from the frost. I really like it.

Lol Scott, As soon as I seen this I thought it was a shot of those hard candies I always used to get at my aunts house during Christmas. As the others have said, I too know the work strain. I worked 32 hours on my weekend off. Lots of ladies having babies at work. O'well more overtime for photography toys!

Sugar coated sweetness for sure Scott a delight to view. I hear you on the work thing getting in the way of the art thing ,I try to sneak in a shot or two while trying to work with my photo clients hoping they won't notice !

Hope you get out there soon with your camera, spring always feels like the shortest season. :wavey:

Wonderful variety of colors in this, Scott. I especially like the "sugary coating" on these leaves.

YUM! The colors and frost details are terrific. BTW, at least some geranium flowers are edible, still looking for info on the leaves.

Sorry you havent been shooting lately Scott! Hate it when life gets in the way.
The abundance of colors and the transitions are superb and the frost really helps add some more depth to this.
