I have a series of moon lit photos. This is one of my favorites. I actually like the full sky original, but it did not look as balanced....but the sky was really cool

I'll post some of my series over this week or so. Hope you enjoy. And yes, the sky really was this eerie color. I did not change anything except crop. :wavey:

I just realized, that this should be moved to Man and nature. I've looked at these photos so much, that I didn't even notice the house on the right

I really like this, it creates a very quiet, peaceful mood. I would like to see a bit more cloud/sky in the top 1/4, but that's very minor.

Hi Mark, I have plenty of sky left.on the top and the left. I was afraid, that the photo would not look balanced with so much sky..But, it WAS the sky, that I wanted to capture. Here's a post of the entire image. Suggestions on cropping would be welcomed!

Hi Lucy,

I like this quite a lot. Great mood and there's kind of a "by the light, of the silvery moon...." (old ballad) quality to this. I might almost be tempted to up the brightness and contrast just enough to allow the upper sky to show off the clouds and color a little bit. but that's minor.

And thanks for the house disclosure... but ya know what, I never would know and frankly can't hardly tell even after you mention it. Actually, a little more visible in the larger view, but we'll let you slide this time...

The larger version seems a little soft too.

Lon

I love moonlit images and this one is exceptionally nice, I prefer the re-post for the extra room. The mood and mystery of a full moon is captured perfectly. Very nice scene

Hi Lucy, my comment about the sky was more in line with Lon's thinking about slightly brightening it rather than just wanting to see more. I do like the balance of the repost a bit more than the original, but that's a very subtle difference.
