I captured this image during an epic hike through the Fish River Canyon in Namibia in 2009.

The sun had just set and after a long day we finally came to a good spot to spend the night - on the bend of the river down on the RHS. This is one of our party straggling down the ridge on weary legs.

You will need to open the larger image for a better view.

Techs:
Canon 1000D with 18-55mm IS @ 18mm
f11 @ 1/5s @ ISO-400

Morkel, a different place than I am used to, for sure. Nonetheless, well exposed and an easy travel for the eye. I appreciate you didn't try to make this "pop" or otherwise blow the viewer out of the water. This says pretty much what it is: a dry place far from anywhere, welcome water, and a decent and protected camp site.
