Amazing Iceberg

This is an incredible iceberg I shot in Lago Argentino, Los Glaciares National Park, Santa Cruz Province, Patagonia, Argentina. The sky that day was partly cloudy, which softened the light, and also made the glaciers and icebergs that day look even more blue than usual. I remember that when we approached this iceberg, everyone in the catamaran stopped talking in amazement. It was a beautiful sight.

I used a Canon EOS 5D MarkII camera with an EF 24-70mm f/2.8L Zoom Lens, 24mm Focal Length at f/11, ISO 100

God is great in his design. Nice capture and 2 suggestions. A lower angle to show only the iceberg and this would remove the distracting to me background of shoreline mountains. Isolation of just iceberg. Beautiful shot and welcome Leo :wavey:

Cool, literally and figuratively. Everything contributes in a positive way to make a very strong image.

The blue in the ice is breathtaking, I can only imagine what it would have been like to witness in person!

That is an incredible berg. I dont know if it would have been possible, but a lot closer, intimate shot would have made a better abstract type image. Still...look at that blue!

Works well. Especially with the tumultuous light behind.

Thanks very much to everyone for your comments and suggestions. This is the first image that I have posted in the NPN galleries, besides my profile picture, and I really appreciate all your feedback. Right now I'm going through an "ice obsession" phase, so I will probably be posting a few more ice images...... OK, maybe more that just a few.

Hi Rick Lundh, thanks for your comment and suggestion. I actually have a much closer shot of this iceberg that I got with a longer lens. I'll be posting it soon. Let me know what you think. Thanks again for your feedback!
