Not sure what this is? Perhaps another kind of magnolia? I have been facinated by the delicate fluttery buds just filling this medium sized tree.
Taken with d700, handheld, 85mm, 1.6, 1/5000, iso 200
Would love to have feedback.. Thanks

Bellieve it is a star magnolia. I've been visiting the same type tree in my neighbor's backyard. Beautiful flowering tree, but it is difficult to isolate its delicate flowers. Good focus on this one. My only suggestion would be to eliminate the oof branch in the upper portion of the image. :wavey:

I like the comp. The main blossom is well placed in the frame, and I like the chosen DOF. I like the repost not only for the branch cloned out, but for the way you smoothed out the dark branch or trunk in the LRC. Good job.

You know, I think that is a lessen well learned for me.. I tend to "finish" my images maybe a bit too quickly.. I need to slow down and "finish" my process,,,,,,,,,,,,, before I post to the world!

The repost is stunning Sally! Great work isolating this cluster of blossoms on it's own.
Maybe it's just my eyes, but I see a little cyan and green fringing around the white petals, which is most likely chromatic abberation. If you're using Photoshop that should be an easy fix.
