Sandy, congrats on getting up to see them! Nice job getting some wide open eye action. Given how bright it looks in the shot, I would've expected it to be squinting/sleeping.

Is "Owl Envy" found in a standard medical reference book, or is it in the DSM5 as a psychiatric condition? Regardless, I have it. This is a wonderful shot. I am so glad you found the subjects you sought. This is a winner. I will let others with technical skill give you that feedback. Kudos to you.

Well, nice to see that you finally made it up there and that the Owls were nice enough to wait for you. I also like the alert pose and the surrounding habitat. Beautiful. :toast:

Well, I can see the hike was worth it. I like the pose as the others have said, "Alert". I like you composition with the OOF grass in the FG and the grass on the right kind of half framing the Owl. I also like the perch and the log to the right of it drifting OOF to the BG and a good BG it is. Love it Sandy.

Happy to see you made it up here Sandy and that you actually experienced some rare north-west sunlight. Nice alert pose you captured, could be a couple hot spots showing in this version. Good luck with the rest of your time with the owls. Sweet Photo!!!

Deenis - yeah, needed to see my DDS in portland on short notice and was able to make a quick trip to the coast for one morning. I was lucky some of the owls were still there - this is very late for them to still be hanging around.
