This image was taken exactly 1 second after my previous post. Would have been happier if I had had a better look at the eye.

Nikon D300, 1/2000, f 4.5, 300 mm lens, HH.

Thanks for looking and thanks also for all the nice comments on my previus post.

Your waxwings are sure giving you a nice show! I'm envious!
Love the "gymnastic" position here, the berry perfectly in it's beak, and the sweet BG.
Lovely!

Nice moment. That background is magic.

This is what I call a "personality shot" ~ and a very god one at that. The more I shoot birds with a camera the more amazed I am at God's creations. Beautiful work May. :toast:

I like the pose very much and the colours of the BG and of the berry.

Very yoga-like May, and a fitting title.

Beautiful light and colors, and perfect with the berry in the bird's mouth.

Beautiful, May. I like the soft colors and the pose took a second to figure out. Neat image. Looks like some cloning went on on the right that could be cleaned up a bit. Also, a bit of a halo around the bird. You can avoid the halo by processing only the bird and not the background for sharpening or shadows / highlights, etc.. Select the background, then select inverse to select only the subject and do your processing. :toast:

Wonderful bird , colors, pose & BG. For me the eye is not a drawback at all, since having it's eye on the berry enhances the bird's determination to get it. What would you do ? Looking at your food or looking in some big round lens cap ? . Well done May ! Cheers, Hans
