Spring Wisteria

Spring is just bustin' out here in Western North Carolina. I was taking my mother for an x-ray and found wisteria blooming in their parking lot. I just knew it would make a good scan subject. Love the colors of wisteria and its elegant flow.

Epson Perfection V33 Photo Scanner and Nik Software for final processing.

Thanks to all who have given me comments and feedback on my scanner work. I just love this new process and never knowing what I will "see" in the final product.

All comments are greatly appreciated.

Tastefully done, Barbara. I have not done scans, so I cannot fully appreciate the challenges in making frames like these. This might look as nice in landscape orientation and I suggest cloning (if you are not averse to touch ups in post processing) the strand sticking to the base of the branch in the top left.

Hi Barbara :wavey: A little rearranging . and you would have nailed it .... To me the small strand is no deal breaker .... .but the uppermost stem which is partially covering the Wisteria, could have been lifted a bit higher. i find the color and light great, an almost perfect capture

Love it. A feel a little dodging and burning of the leaves and stem would greatly enhanced an already get image. The black bg sets off the flower.

Nice flower image in excellent light. I like the overall arrangement and the very well selected black BG. Well done Barbara, :toast:

One of the most difficult flowers to photograph and a scan did the job. As already said I would either crop the stem or clone it to extend out of the picture.

Delicious lighting, Barbara ! The flower sem to be falling gently through the frame - a lovely composition.
