Was taking sunrise shots when this Great Egret showed up. Backlit by the early morning light, could not pass it up. Taken at Viera Wetlands Florida. This is one of those that I'm not sure of. Thank you in advance for all of your comments. Thanks

Just enough shadow to complete the outline of the bird's head to connect the parts. The lighting, exposure and posture of the egret are outstanding.

Something unique and very well-seen.
The light thru the feathers is very captivating and the position of the preening bird with thge silhouetted head is lovely.
If there is any chance of lightening up the leg and rock, I'd suggest that - possibly with Nik's Viveza program.

So very different and so very, very nice. The pose, composition and lighting are really terrific. I can't decide if adding some detail to the leg/rock (per Sandy's suggestion) would improve the image or not. It's hard for me to image this getting any better, buy you never know until you try.
