seastack sunset #2

I won't get a chance to post anything for a while so here's one more from my recent visit to the Great Ocean Road. Taken a few minutes earlier than my last post, I tried using the setting sun to balance the otherwise empty right side of the frame.

You're taking a break in style, Neale. This is just super. Composed and exposed just right for me. The stacks are great but for me I like the sunset and the surf the best. I'd love to be sitting on that beach just taking it in. The only nit I have is that on my monitor there appears to be a halo around the stacks.

Now you've pointed that out Peter, I see it too. Must be something to do with my processing/ sharpening procedure. I don't expect to see halos if I don't blend exposures. Thanks for your comments, I'll re-work it sometime.

Really like this shot Neale. The sunset and its reflection at the edge of the water is what stands out to me.

I like this shot too, Neale. A wonderful view and feel with beautiful colors. I really like the reflection in the wet sand that just seems to add that extra touch and feel. Nice work.

Lovely. Bit of a light halo around the rocks, but that might be jpeg artifact. Amazing image for a single exposure.
