Varied Tit in Fence

I shot this Varied Tit a couple days ago on a mountain hike here in Korea. It seemed very comfortable around people and actually let me get fairly close. Despite the hand-of-man here, I like the pattern of the chain-link fence, plus it helped me get the bird in good light.

Canon EOS 60D
Lens: Sigma DG 120-400mm 1:4.5-5.6 APO OS HSM
Focal Length: 400mm
f/5.6
Shutter 1/500
ISO 200
HH

Cropped about 35%

Nice, Mark. What are you using for autofocus points? It looks like it could be a bit crisper. For small birds I always use the smallest center autofocus point the camera can generate and try to focus on the eye.

I don't mind the fence, sometimes that is where you see the birds. Nice looking bird and nice colors. You caught a good head turn and catch light. A couple of things. The way the wire runs through the image gives the allusion that it is tilted to the left. It might help with just a slight rotation. It is just a touch soft and that could be because of the crop.

neat looking bird, Mark, and a nice little head turn. I agree with Dennis that it doesn't look quite sharp, but hard to diagnose whether it's the camera's AF, or a result of handholding.
