Trillium ovatum growing wild in Washington Park Arboretum, Seattle.

It's in prime bloom now. So, Happy Easter and Happy Spring to all.

D700, 105VR. Taken in evening light about 1/2 hour before sunset. Filtered sunlight.

Wonderful dof. I really like the details in foliage and bloom and the rich green of the leaves. Beautiful image

Love the composition, as well as the details in the flower and foliage. Nice image! I was reading in one of my Northwest plant books the other day that ants are actually attracted to their seeds and pack them back to their nests to feed them to their larva and in the process disperse the seeds along the way. One of the many "ant plants" in the PNW...

Beautifully captured Catherine. The best part of the image for me is the leaves on the stem of the blooming plant. So lush with fabulous texture.

Happy Easter to you and yours Catherine. Love trilliums and love your presentation. Clean, crisp and an accurate, but pleasing, environment.
