Forget-me-nots on hosta

WC #529
These tiny blue forget-me-not flowers readily reseed and come up randomly every spring in one of my shade beds. This one stem was lying across the leaf of a hosta.

Canon Rebel T1i. 90mm macro lens. F/32 for 1/4 sec. ISO 100.

I generally don't like colors this strong...seems slightly oversaturated, but still it is such a nice image it works regardless!
Very cheerful & a clean composition!

Really nice vibrant blues against the green background. I like the use of the diagonal lines in this along w/ the rule of 1/3 rds.

Great capture. Background is great with the color and lines. I like the size difference between the full flowering and smaller buds. Finally, good placement of the main subject. Oh, also used the correct f/stop (-:

Great details, Carolyn. I like the competing diagonals of the hosta and the forget-me-not stem. Having some of the flower buds is a nice additional detail.

Since this is the Alaska State flower I'm particularly fond of this photo, Carolyn. I like the composition and the exposure, colors and details are superb! Excellent choice for the challenge and very nice macro!
