GBH Dreamin'

As I was heading out pre-dawn for some eagle shooting on what was to be a bright, sunny day, I quickly stopped to get this Great Blue Heron taking off against the dead-calm and in very low light. I just shot off in presets in manual mode, *sigh*, but am still happy with this dreamy scene. Thanks for looking!! :) D90, ISO-500, 1/640th, f-5.6, 300mm. Thanks for your thoughts, I realize it won't be for all.

Bill, I do like what you captured with this shot. Around here these guys seem to be very alert to anyone or thing trying to get close. I would suggest noise reduction if possible. Thanks for sharing.

The noise is pretty high in this one, Bill. Not sure if NR would save it without loss of too much detail; certainly worth a try. I think I'd also lose the drake Mallard and give the GBH a little more room to fly in to.
