Wall to wall

The title was an expression that was used more before the advent of wood flooring. It used to be important to have wall to wall carpeting in the previous age.

The fog was laying in the valley below Pikes Peak two mornings ago, and seemed to tie the two high places together.

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

Definitely a very nice shot, Morris. The light hitting the foreground tree and how it separates from the cooler fog behind it - lovely. I also like the warm light on the distant mountains. Overall I wish the shot were a bit "simpler" with some of the distracting elements gone (like the tree in the LLC, the straight shadow line on the fog and that isolated cloud. But witnessing such a moment always is a treat.

Gorgeous lighting! I might have cropped a bit off the bottom, though this square format might not be to your liking. The sun clipping the tops of the trees is perfect.

That is very sweet light! I really like this one a lot. Maybe the dead pine in the llc is a bit of a distraction. I'm not even sure it's worth mentioning, but I already did! For some reason I keep expecting to see the tops of a red bridge poking up out of that fog

Interesting light display here, Morris. The atmosphere is really cool too. Usually light at your back isn't used very well across a whole scene but you've caught it in all the right places here. I'd be tempted to crop from the bottom as to avoid getting sucked down into the dark a little.

Morris, It must have felt great being there in person for this, and I'm really enjoying this scene. Maybe a little crop of the bottom but I like this alot! Very nice shot. :toast:

Real sweet Morris. I would agree with the comments about a little crop at the bottom but it's minor. Veryl nice image.

This is outstanding Morris. I really like the perspective and the sunlight hitting the tree really sets this one off. Well done.

Very nice frame filling shot Morris. The fog does tie the image together nicely as you say. It must have been great standing there witnessing this.

Gary.

Nice! The vertical format does work real well with this scene. Im not totally thrilled by all the brown in the corner, but overall it's a sweet shot.

I'm really liking this... The clouds obviously make the image, and the morning light also... IMO, the comp is great as is, but I could see doing some sort of square crop as well. TFS!

Very cool with the illuminated tree in fg and all that low fog. I'd darken the peaks and sky a bit...I know that's probably what they looked like but they seem just a bit washed out - still quite nice!

Love the light and your outstanding composition, Morris. The layers of your composition are really remarkable in that morning light. The clouds in the valley almost seem to have enough substance to walk on. Fantastic.
