To Enjoy a Sunset...

Took this yesterday afternoon at sunset. Big clouds were running across the sky over these trees, catching just a bit of orange color before the sun fell beneath the horizon. It was a bit windy, so I bumped up the ISO a tad. Also, this was originally a RAW file, which I'm fairly new to, so any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

To give a bit of context, there is a lake just behind this scene here, home to quite a few nesting geese. Just before snapping this shot, about three angry geese were fighting, giving each other pretty hard times. I guess I mention that, wishing you all could hear this location, rather than just see it...

Canon 60d 10-22mm @ 10mm
ISO 200 (windy) --- f/10 --- 1/13 sec. --- Hitech soft 0.9 (0.6??)

C & C WELCOME! Better title suggestions also welcome...

I am really liking the two trees against the sky and cool clouds. It works well. I might consider a little foreground crop to further emphasize the trees??

Harley--- I found it kinda hard working around the flattened grassy stuff. It is a bit distracting, I guess. Hopefully I'll make it out there again and play with some more comps, or just play with the cropping... Thanks for your comment!

Nice colors and light Nathan. I like the composition with the two trees. I agree with Harley's comments about the foreground.

Very good composition and light. Great job. :toast:

Maybe a hair dark on the top?

Mark, I did some dodging and burning throughout the whole sky, and now that you mention it, it does look a bit overdone up there. Thanks for noticing..

One of the most beautiful and evocative images I have seen on this forum in a long (long) time.

To my eyes and sensibility it is perfect as presented. I don't see the need for any change whatsover.

Thanks for the kind words, Anil. It's interesting---I've waked past these trees for quite a while now, never really noticing them. Just the way they are places leaning towards each other is kinda special!
