Reddish fishing

This is the first of several images I took of this Reddish as he was fishing for breakfast. I followed this bird across the lagoon at North Beach and watched as he plunged into the water for his catch. What I most like in this image is the outstretched wings and the bird's eye still visible above the waterline.

Not baited, called, or setup. Taken at Ft. DeSoto Park, FL.

This is excellent IMO Chuck. So many images I see of egrets and herons in this position lack good sharpness and detail. This image has it all. Great sharpness and detail on the bird. Very nice light and BG too. The low angle and DOF top it off. Stellar shot!

amazing! Couldn't have timed the shot better! The bright foliage at the end of the bird's right wing looks like a wing extension; maybe burn it in to fix. Lots of details to enjoy while taking in the action.

I love the stop action in this one Charles. I did have a hard time finding the eye and do find myself wishing ti was just a 1/2 inch higher, but that is really nit picking. Overall the image is terrific. :toast:
