This was one of the last shots taken with my 5D Classic before I moved on to a MKII.
I thought I had shared this here, but apparently not.

I Shot the sunrise this morning at Brighton Beach on Lake Superior's North Shore. Was happy too see ice chunks in the water and clouds in the sky.

Nice shot with lots of detail to look at. The sky may be a bit oversaturated, IMO...

BTW, I noticed you refered to the HiTech filters. I also have a few of those. What is your thought on them? Mine came with small white 'dust' embedded on the surface. I don't think it affects the quality, but am wondering if I got a 'bad' batch...?

There is a lot going on here Shawn. All of it looks nice but there may be a bit too much for my taste. I'd think about maybe cropping the dry rock out of the bottom but leaving waves and the wet rock.

Lots of drama in both the sky and water, Shawn. Very nicely done. :toast:

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments and suggestions.

I really like the detail in the ice covered foreground rock and find it to be a great starting point on my way through the image. I understand and appreciate the critique though.

@Nathan, I have had zero issues with my Hitech filters like you mention. You may have indeed received a bad batch.
