This godwit looks like it is struttin' its stuff. Well captured with a good low angle and I think the laughing gull in the BG adds more than it detracts

Now that is getting down & dirty Jim! Love the wonderful low angle, strutting action of the godwit and I also like the gull in the background, it gives an added depth to this image.

Good detail and I like the comp Jim. These guys are never alone so the gull in the background adds nicely to the image.

Well Jim I guess I am going against the flow and would prefer a more neutral BKG in terms of subject matter, but hey, this is the location these birds frequent so no control over that. POV is good, with nice depth of detail & colour, but again, would try to open up the darker parts of the legs just to get a hint more detail.

Nice bird and strut. A bit tight as presented. I'd also brighten this up slightly.

Jim, I like the very low angle. To me this is a bit dark. Some light in the eye would have been nice as well. BG is fine with me.

Love the businessman like strut. Really attractive specimen. Unfortunately, I'm not too fond of the other birds in the background, takes away from an otherwise great Godwit image. My2c.

Looks a very natural beach composition. I like his struttering pose and the close crop really shows up the detail in the bird. Graham
