One of my favorite spots; a park near my home. The pigeons are flying in to be fed. They fly in a huge flock and coem toward the souce of food(in this case, me) like dive-bombers.

Ditto on the depth! The birds come right out of the frame...nice 3D look.

Cheers,

Thanks! This was taken with a Sigma 15mm Fisheye. I think the "bend" from the lens is what gives the 3-D effect. I've been trying for weeks to get a shot of them coming straight at me, but with the picturesque side of the pond in the shot. The always seem to fly in from the same direction, and if I shoot straight ahead, I wind up with a really ugly parking lot in the background. This is as close as I've been able to get. That's one of the things I enjoy so much about photography...trying over, and over, and over again for that shot that I can see in ny mind.

I keep waiting for the pigeons to start flapping their wings and fly around. Nice 3-D effect. Overall beautiful image, well done.
