Oregon Coast Sunset

Late last September I had the good fortune of making my first trip to the central Oregon coast for vacation. At the end of our first full day there I made this image south of Lincoln City as the sun set over the pacific.

simple, elegant and effective. the dark rocks seems a little too dark to me - otherwise fine.

Very nice scene. I like the way the point leads your eye into the image. The composition and colors are very nice.

Great location, and that sky is lovely. I can't help wishing to have those rocks in the immediate foreground because of the patterns I see there. The green adds some freshness to the shot, but imho the shot would look more focused without it. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks everyone. Marsel, I appreciate your comment. My thought process was to utilize the fg foliage to anchor the image because of its contrasting color & textures. I never considered going tighter to emphasize the patterns in the rocks.

It's refreshing to see the possibilities through others eyes.

Excellent land-waterscape. Nice contrast -brown rocks aginst blue sky. The sky light is great. I like the composition framed vertically.
