From Al Fayah Desert, Chasing the light and a lone tree

I decided to choose this artwork to be printed and dedicated to special people who influenced & inspired me with their appreciation through my journey in life - so, if you see this print somewhere you have to know immediately that this person is special - this work is NOT for sell

Still, need to hear your comments

Dunno who the person is but it's a lovely photo nonetheless. Is MA an influece here?

superb radiating lines. the tree seems a little out of place but the lines radiating from it really root it there. nice work and lucky people!

Extraordinary lines and textures leading to the background tree. Like the monotone feel as well. Whomever receives this print will be very special indeed.

Abdullaziz, wonderful B&W. I love how the lines of clouds match the ripples in the sand. And of course the tree is a nice focal point. I think this will make a fine gift.

Pretty awesome Abdullaziz. Very creative shot.

My only nit is the greys (grays, whatever) in between the dunes. Seems like it needs to be darker in those areas, more contrast. Would not mind seeing the sky around the tree a bit darker/contrast as well, including the clouds on the horizon. Would be interesting to see the color(colour, whatever) version too.

Nifty stuff this.

My first reaction when I saw this was that it's a composite, because it's too good to be true and the tree looks like it doesn't belong there. However, since this is not the artsy forum it must be real and therefore: :toast:

The highlights look blown out, or is it my laptop.

Not always does a center punched scene like this work, in this case, it not only works well but enhances the photograph all the way around. Very nice indeed.

I really like the way the radiating lines are mirrored top and bottom. The tree placement is excellent. I don't know what this looked like in color but the B&W looks fantastic.

Beautiful convergence of lines, Aziz! Though I do think some of the clouds look a little forced/aided through heavy dodging/burning.

Wow talk about a powerful image. The lines leading to the tree are intense! One of my favorites from you! :toast:

I think Floris has a good point about the darker tones in the sky.

Really like this one wonderful echo in the lines and the central hub of the singular tree works a treat.

Nice image! I'll be keeping my eye out for this...

I like all the lines and textures in this, and the centered subject works fantastic here. Could the tree have a bit more contrast or something? It may feel a bit too lightened. Thanks for sharing!

Looks great!!!

I'm OK with the sky, but the highlights are a little hot on the horizon line.

You are really going to deny this from public purchase?

Gratitude (shukr) is a powerful thing and this photograph really captures that power well. However these special people are that receive one of these will be very fortunate. Great work.

I love it, Abdullaziz! And i disagree about the 'darker' comments above--this image is more about the subject than 'drama' and i think making it too bold with increased contrast would just distract from the subject. The real key here is how the tree looks at full scale, and that's impossible to tell at this size.

A beautiful image, Abdullaziz! The b&w conversion is spectacular. The converging dune and cloud lines really draw the focus to the lone tree, which seems oddly out of place in the desert landscape, however this just makes the image all the more intriguing! A wonderful dedication to those that have helped you along your way.

Very powerful presentation. I like it!
Tone down the hot spots along the horizon and it will be nearly perfect.

Awesome, Abdullaziz! For me this has a spiritual quality. The lines in the ground/sand
as well as the sky both lead to the tree. Very special, indeed.
