The white in background does confuse the eye movement.

Looks like Spanish Broom (Spartium junceum) and that would make sense up the west coast. Good documentation image.

Definitely in the pea family. Beautiful yellows! I like the bright and busy feel to this.

As David said, a good documentation image. As a composition, there is a general drift toward the LR third carried by the stems, which I like.

The white doesn't confuse me any more than I am already confused.

Looks like Scotch Broom, Danny. An invasive, and once ubiquitous plant in the PNW, it's been doggedly removed over the last many years. I hope it's not making a comeback, even though it is pretty. It can really take over an area and decimate native plants. Nice shot of it.

Very nice bright yellow colors. Nicely composed except the slightly disturbing white in the BG. Nicely done Danny.

Danny - You already have the ID, David is awesome at identifying. I like the repeating yellow flowers through-out the frame. Good habitat shot.

Definitely Scotch Broom - grew up in the 60's with acres of the stuff we tried to eradicate for years.. it is a pretty flower, though..

Hey Danny. My only small nit is the white of the tree trunks? in the BG. Nice environmental shot.

Oh the dreaded Broom, It is a very invasive pest in Canada ,not natural to our west coast and is a bit of a pain to control . But they sure look pretty when in blazing yellow a bloom on the sides of highways ! :wavey: The white in the BG looks like water , not an issue for me as a doc. shot !
