Very nice Richard- so good in fact that I think it has lots of commercial potential with fly fishing mags, as well as in prints sold through fly shops. At least as important as the great light and comp is the timing of the shot. There are several critical moments in a cast- both in terms of fishing and looks- and you hammered this one, catching the flex in the rod, the line and the attitude of the angler. Tells me you are probably a fellow enthusiast in the noble sport!

I agree with everything that Hank said Richard. I have been trying to get some fly fisherman shots lately and have not been as successful as you were with this one. This is fantastic. I like the mist, the light, the action, and the part of the river that you captured. Great all around.

Hey Richard,

Excellent image, loved the backlight, the mist, the timing with the cast... bet there are some rainbows in the riffle there

Richard, excellent shot. I love the composition, the light, and the fact that I can even see the the fly line being whipped forward. A real beauty. :toast:

Very nice light, great composition, good crop. I agree that this is very publishable.

I'll second what everyone else said. Great timing on your part to catch the action at the right time.
