Hi all.
I liked the colors in this shot. Any and all thoughts appreciated.
Thanks for your comments on my last photo of the tulip center.

My first question, since you shot this with a macro lens, should it he placed in the macro gallery? I'm pretty new here and just want to make where images are correctly placed.

Nathan:
Like this one a lot. The sharp edge anchors this soft image and the blush of pink in the bg gives good contrast to the yellow
Rick: There is no hard or fast rules about where an image is posted. Images where flora is the main theme get put here regardless of how it is taken. You will see some very close up abstracts like the ones posted here by Ram. On the flip side flora subjects are also posted in landscape and macro galleries as well. The moderators of the galleries will move the image to the more appropriate ones if required.

Hi Nathan It's hard to explain what makes a great image, to me it's how the color, light and form affect my senses. And in this image, I'm mesmerized by it. This presentation is sublime in every aspect . Especially the color.

Nathan - Really like the emphasis on the curve while retaining the softness elsewhere. Soft pastel shades also help accentuate the overall soft feel to the photo.
Nice frame.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone.
@Rick Diffley: Typically on NPN a photo can fit into one of several buckets. The reason that I post my photos here is because it fits the 'If it grows, it goes' guideline, also that I have been posting photos here in flora for a long, long time and I like this gallery. Even though this was captured with a macro lens, to me it is not a real macro shot since the magnification is not extreme. Even if the magnification was intense, I might still post the photo here if it was of a flower or part of one - just because I like the gallery and it is more active than the macro and closeup gallery. I would not post a macro photo of a bug here in flora, unless it was a party crasher on the flower and the flower was a good deal of the subject also. Does that make sense?
One of the only galleries where there is some strictness is not posting a landscape with obvious 'hand of man' in it as that stuff belongs in the Man & Nature gallery.

Really nice Nathan. I like how the oof bg flower mimics the front one in color and pattern. Great soft "look" as usual.
