Awesome shot - I would love to see these guys next time I'm in Florida, they really intrigue me. Detail, lighting, exposure and pose are all excellent, which is a combo that has become your signature

Wonderful timing Ron. The light is sweet as well. I have yet to see one of these birds, but will be in their habitat this summer I hope. :toast:

Beautiful light and pose. I like the nice low angle. Any more room around the owl?

Keith, no more room to speak of. This is almost full frame.

Terrific image as posted. Your flight-tuned reflexes paid off well here.

Ron,
Another exceptional image of a very difficult bird to get in flight. They are incredibly fast. Terrific light on the under parts of the wings, and a neat prey in the bill. Never seen that before. The muddy feet cap this one off for me. :toast:

Terrific capture Ron-the light, the feather detail, and the extended muddy feet offer an amazing image.

Great light and pose! A bit tight though, especially on the left.

Very nice! The worm in beak really puts an otherwise excellent shot over the top.

Very nice Ron!
I didn't know they preyed on worms.
