This is stunning, Cheryl! Great lighting in this; I like the contrast of the lighter edges with the darker center. Nice comp!

This is just beautiful Cheryl. Great light and patterns I love the dark/light contrasts and the reverse curves of the shell.

A light on both sides works very well. I call it a 'light sandwich', and I use it sometimes on floral shots. It works very well here because you have such a naturally balanced composition (Fibonacci) http://lifehacker.com/5714937/compose-with-fibonaccis-ratio-for-phenomenal-photos

Splendid, Cheryl. I am told this shell is a great example for mathematics in nature.

The spirals and the curved lines do play magic on the eyes. Light is great as well.
