Totes Gebirge

A few days ago rambling on a late afternoon in Alm Valley, Upper Austria. "Totes Gebirge" is a group of mountains in Austria, part of the Northern Limestone Alps. The name means "death mountain range", referring to the lack of vegetation.

Hi Peter,

This scenery reminds me so much of the Pacific Northwest here in the states. I really like the chosen shutter speed. I think the entire foreground could benefit from a contrast boost. The upper half looks good as is. Your exposure looks just about perfect. Nice work.

Hi Peter,

Great scene!, and what a beautiful place. A place I would try and get to often...if I could  .I really enjoy the nice natural look and feel you have here. Michael's thought on a little contrast boost on the forground might work good here as well. Very nice image.
You seem to have a wonderful variety of landscapes to shoot, Peter.

I like comp and the way the water takes me to the mountains. Trying to get more detail and color in the shadowed foreground would help bring better light balance to the scene.

This might as well be a scenery in the swiss alps. I like the chosen shutter speed and the exposure looks good, too, though I would try to bring more details in the shadows.
