On The Edge

I scampered down Cascade Creek to just under the bridge from which I made the last photo and found a spot on a precipice where I could capture the entirety of the cascade as it went over the first of many falls. The volume of water and its roar were both soothing and awe inspiring.

This was a three photo stitch. I am still waiting for the LF film. Large version included for effect.

Nikon D2x, Nikon 17-55 f/2.8 at 20mm f22 for 1/5 sec.

Your feedback is much appreciated.

Hi Youssef,

I like it. I am sure if would look incredible blown up large. Do you think maybe darkening the foreground rock would help too? Just a suggestion, anyways it looks good. I hope all is well.

Very nice detail in the large version. Quite the flow here. I can almost feel the power.

Love the tremendous textures and contrast in the water, Youssef. Powerful falls like these are hard to photograph but this comes across beautifully; one can almost hear the falls and feel the spray. Excellent work.
