Yes, they are seen everywhere in the Southwest. This particular one was as the hotel we stayed at in Taos. Always fetching with the blue usually against the pink adobe walls.

Comments and critiques always welcome and thanks for looking,

Morris

Just a tip from an old pro~ the lone branch encroaching on subject is very distracting without adding to image.

Rick, I doubt you are as old as I am.
I have one without, but my wife liked the yellow with the blue. So, what's a guy to do?

I would agree with Rick on the flowers. Make a print of the one with the flowers for the Mrs. and put the other in your portfolio.

Morris,

Turning 65 this fall and a shooter for 42 years makes me a "old pro'. I feel young and love my craft. Thanks for sharing.

Dang, Rick, you are older than me! I turned 63 last month. :jump: And, I've only been shooting 35 years, and there is nothing other than my family that I love more than photography. I appreciate your comments. :wavey:

Great image. The color saturation and exposure is perfect. I agree with the other comments about the yellow branch.

Nice blue door Morris but the branch does seem like a bit of an intrusion but the colors certainly work well together.

Morris, this is a nice composition. The yellow branches works well as color contrast here. It's not that much of a distraction in my opoinion, i even think it makes the images even more special and stands out from thousand other door images.

Well, I'm for making the yellow branch go away, but it does add a third strong color. As for the age disclosure I turned 62 Friday, so I appreciate you letting me know that there are some older than me here, and I think we all love our craft. I am somewhat new to nature and the fine art venues, but am having a blast with it. You folks are a true inspiration to me.
