Spanish Bluebell

Gallery: Macro & Close-upPosted May 12, 2012111 views8 comments
Here is another close-up of a single flower from a Spanish Bluebell stem. This is showing a front view compared to the back view of my other post. I am also posting a picture of the larger Spanish Bluebell flower in the Flora Gallery.

Canon Rebel T1i. 180mm macro lens. F/6.3 for 1/20 sec. ISO 100. Tripod mounted, natural lighting.

Great color of this Spanish Bluebell and the way they recede draws the eye into the image. Excellent light and contrast to the BG. Well done Carolyn.

Gorgeous, Carolyn. I like this one even better than the last Bluebell close up. Excellent comp and lighting, and perfect DOF for my tastes. :toast:

Carolyn - If the last one was superb this one is an absolute Jaw Dropper  - details, the composition and the overall aesthetics all put this easily over the top :toast:

A lovely image and a fascinating perspective. I have a slight reservation for the dark purple rising stem in the back. In some way it is a good part of the composition but it might also slightly distract from the lovely flower.
This blue color is most difficult to get right in an image and certainly in print. I am sure it would give a lovely print here.
