Sunrise glow as the moon sets over Portal Mountain on Bow Lake, Banff, Canada. Digging through my archives, I found this image from 2009. ....and yes, any little rustling I heard in the brush, I would break out into a cold sweat... I was the only one out here that morning.

Canon 5DM2
Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L at 43mm
ISO100 0.7sec f/16
SR 2-Stop Soft Edge Gradient

Thanks or having a look.

Very nice, peaceful setting, Eva. A nice capture. I like the moon peeking over the mountain. I find it more intriquing than if you'd gotten the whole things. Great detail all around including the FG which I suspect would have been easy to lose. Beautiful light all around. Only distraction is the white sliver on top of the bowl to the left. At first I thought it was a cloud bank but finally decided it was a snow field. It pulls my eye to it which I rather not. Excellent image.

Oh, I'm liking that glacier in the large view, Eva. This feels quite natural for the lighting to me. I also like that light on the peaks.

A strong composition and wonderful lighting to me, Eva. You managed the foreground spot on in my opinion. The slightly curved sunlit snow field in the distance makes for an elegant element to my eye, that just makes the difference for me.

Nice catch with this one Eva. I like how you caught the moon setting. The details in the larger version look great.

Love the light on the distant mountains, the moon, and the cool tones in the foreground and far hills which really gives the feeling of the coolness of the morning and the awaking day. Beautiful, Eva.

Looks like we're all mining our archives at the moment and pulling out some great shots. I like the beautiful shadow detail in this one Eva. The light picking up the fg leaves is very nice, and of course the sunlit peak is beautiful against the blue sky. A couple of clouds in the sky would have been nice, but no big deal.

Great capture Eva, feels like I am right there beside you. Great line between the dominant peak and its repeated shape on the trees below.

Very nice, the shadows in the fg glow and their cool tones give me a sense of early morning chill. Like the warm contrast of the peak,
