Hi, I haven't posted for a week or so, I apologise, my work has been taxing..
Daisies out in my garden just after a rain..
One of my first experiences with new 200mm Micro F4 lens on Nikon d700 with tripod.
1/50th at f13, iso of 250.

Would love to hear your critiques...... thanks.

A nice simple picture of the daisy. Certainly well taken. Have you thought about focus stacking?

Thanks for the comments Miro and Phil.. I have read that others have done "stacking" of their photos on this site... is that like HDR? combining exposures?? .

Sally - Excellent Photo of the Daisy complete with water drops. I specially love the Oblong yellow center.

As an aside, Focus stacking is like HDR in principle but not in practice. In HDR you combine several shots with differing exposures while in Focus stacking you combine several photos with differing Focal Points to increase the depth of field. Softwares like Photoshop CS5 (may be CS4 too, not sure), Helicon, Zerene and others do this easily.

Beautiful daisy shot, Sally. I like the centered comp and the nice blurred background. The oblong center makes this image unique. Good details on the center, nice lighting, and good handling of the whites. The raindrops always add a nice touch too.

Sally:
Image looks fine and you will get to like your macro lens even more going forward.

Would like to see a wee bit more DOF in the center (I think that is what Phil is eluding to).

Love the angle at which you've caught this daisy, Sally - the centre has your eyes buzzing !! Fine capture altogether, with nice separation from the bg.
