Painterly barn

I haven't decided if I like this HDR look yet. This was made from 1 photo, then worked in Photomatix. The barn is in the Palouse area of Washington state.

Taken with a Canon Rebel XTi, ISO100, f/16, 135 mm, 1/6 sec.

I know HDR is a matter of personal taste , but what do you all think?

It kind of makes it look more like a painting to me Kathy. I think a little more contrast would fit my tastes better.

Since you asked...I will give you my opinion on HDRs. I love two types of HDR images: 1) where HDR is used to increase the dynamic range of a photo and you can't tell that the photo is an HDR and 2) where HDR processing has been used extensively on an image to create photo art. I generally don't like images in the middle of those two extremes, but as you said everyone has a different opinion on HDR.

it's a matter of personal taste but I don't like HDR in landscape photography. This one looks too HDr for me. but this is just personal. But it's a beautiful composed scene.
