3 Legged Thing Eric X4 Tripod
Shot this little beauty this morning before heading out to work and right before a nice rain shower. I also forgot to mention in my most recent post that I indulged myself and finally bought a CF tripod to replace my trusty Bogen 3221. Picked up a 3 Legged Thing that is a joy to use. I've never had twist collars so I'm not as quick in setup and take down as before but it is coming and there have been no pinched fingers.

The new one also has four leg sections instead of three and it has a two stage center column that will let me get the camera
over my head (I'm 6'4") so no more scrunching down. One of the legs will also detach to become a monopod which I haven't used yet but expect will come in handy in some venues where tripods are not permitted. All in all first impressions are very positive. All comments on this shot most welcome. >=))>

What a terrific capture this one is
Beautiful image. Like the tiny drops on the anthers and petals and the softness all round. These do look like jets streaming up at an air show, a reference back to your airforce days?
Took my CF tripod in for service last week. The base to the central post came lose and the camera moved ever so slightly that my bracketing and focus stacking shots were not lining up.
