Grizzly Mom and Cub
I caught these two last Summer in Alaska. Nikon D300 1/400 F6.3 Nikon 200-400.
Comments and critiques are always welcome. I try to learn from each post

This is delightful! Great pose from mom, and a very nice eye (tough to get the eyes in bears).
Fine detail in the fur, very cute new cub, and the framing by the grasses is wonderful.

This is simply beautiful Andrew. I particularly like the soft feel of this and the pastel-like tones. Excellent separation with the BG as well and the grasses in the FG are a nice feature. My only wish would be to have a slightly better view of the eye of the youngster, similar to the mum, but that I know, was not within your control. Great work!

Lovely shot with nice harmonic colors, sharpness and composition. TFS.

Nice shot Andrew - the bears are plenty sharp and the comp is great. The fg grasses seem a bit over-burned and the overall image might look better with a contrast boost (to my eye, of course), minor nits though.

Gorgeous. I really like the profiled shapes of mom and cub, and the slight contour of the foreground grass is another nice touch.

I love the soft light and muted colours here Andrew. Nice low angle and poses too. Just wish for a little bit more eye from junior

Momma bear looks very content with the setting and her cub. The detail in the fur and the selective focus really add a lot to this intimate "mother-child" portrait. Congrats on a great Pick!

Andrew, congratulations on the cover shot selection here. This is a wonderful scene. The two years I lived in Alaska was filled with fond memories of seeing wildlife scenes similar to this.
