The grass on the prairie in the spring has some very nice color. This is a little of an abstract of the grass. The little guy on the left showed up just before I took the image. I would really like to know if anyone else likes this beside me. Thanks for your comments.

I like it, Richard. Unusual head of grass seed in that nothing I'm familiar with. Must be a prairie species. I love the colors in this. Just subtle and gentle colors throughout the grass and the BG. The addition of the visitor is a plus for the image. I like the selective focus and you captured a lot of detail in that area. All the little hairs must be minute. Good job.

Dunno why, but I think the image would be way cooler without the little dude hanging out. It's pretty neat with him there, but for some reason my eye wants to concentrate on the abstract quality of the image.

Regardless it's a very pleasing image to view.

Hi Richard. I like the grass color and texture, and chosen DOF. Very well composed. The insect is a little small but is well positioned in the frame and adds interest to the scene.

I like the point of focus on the leaf hopper, great details.
F/6.3 works well for this, softening the BG nicely.
I consider this an image in the minimalist style, with the tiny hopper the subject :toast:

Richard this abstract comp works for me very well. The grass and colours are great. The little guy is ok, but for me not really necessary. :wavey:
