The flowers at this beach in Pt.Reyes National Seashore, California, are called Goldfields, tiny little daisy-like flowers that carpet the shoreline in mid-April.

Taken with a Canon Rebel xTi, ISO 100, 14-40 lens at 24mm, f/20, 1/15 sec., polarizing lens.

I like the geometrical composition but wonder if others think it is too static. Thanks in advance for any comments or critiques.

This photo has lots of interesting elements to it, I think. I like the rolling hills and how the fence winds between them. . .the left bank of yellow flowers provides a nice contrast to the green area to the right of the fence. . .nice fluffly clouds in the sky. This picture doesn't feel static to me with all these nice elements and the comp you have made using these elements. A touch more saturation though may help it pop more.

Thanks for all your comments on my photos, Carolyn. I've been having trouble exporting photos from Lightroom that are under 200KB and I think that's why some look washed out. I'm also not sure how to post larger photos. Any tips?

In lightroom there is a box in the export page that you can check to limit file size to X number of kilobytes. It is about half way down the page. I use it as a preset to export at 200 KB and 500KB for the large size. You need separate file name or the files over write eachother. Make sure you have the quality at 100 and sharpen for the screen, color space = sRGB.. Good luck

PS you may want to increase clarity and blacks in this image - nice shot.

Lovely scene and the fence helps lead into the image and around the hill. As for the LR problem, I've done some investigation and found that there are times when it seems like the file size limit and pixel limits conflict. I've seen a number of times when LR said that it couldn't meet the file size limit but if I turned off that limit but left the 720 pixel longest edge, when I checked the size it was under the 300 kb (not 200 kB) limit.

A very pleasant seascape. I like the interplay of the lines and contours. Later versions of LR are better. Not sure what you have. V4 has simple and straight-forward export dialogue. The hillside seems lit differently than the rest of the image, but more contrast might punch it up a bit.
