Sony A700
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 200, 1/25 @ f22

Sometimes at dawn in our garden there is a juxtaposition of subject and light that still excites me. This was one of them. All comments welcome.>=))>

Great light and an excellent comp Bill. This works very well. Did you apply any unsharp mask? This appears just a tad soft.

Glorious lighting, Bill, and a superb composition. I love how the stamens rise out of the petal folds at the base, and the colouring is so subtle. Very beautiful image !

Excellent lily close-up, Bill. I love the play of the light on the stamens.

Nothing beats the newness of morning light, and here it seems the stamen rise to greet it. Nice work, Bill.

Really like your use of the early dramatic light Bill, I think this is actually quite awesome
I sincerely agree, it's an exciting image.. (and in flora, that's saying a lot)

Hi bill :wavey: To me, the most important ingrediant in photography is light, and this image has beautiful light!!! and color, as well as fine composition, and detail :toast:

Bill - If Photography is painting with light then this photo shows why  . The composition is different from what we usually see with Daylilies and of course, the light really makes this magical.
