Crowfoot Mountain on Bow Lake at Sunrise, Banff, Alberta, Canada

Cloudy Morning on the shores of Bow Lake. Crowfoot Mountain shrouded in clouds. Don't think I have posted this before but it is one of my favorites.

Eva,

Good luck in Scotland...I can see why this is one of your favorites. It's expansive yet intimate, and moody........And your deep DOF puts you right in the image as is your style.

Beautiful shot, Eva. The morning light and fog surrounding the peak creates a very moody image..I really enjoyed looking at the detail in the larger version! :toast:

I love the light on the peaks and the way it climbs through the clouds. Just a beautiful scene.

Wonderful light and color dancing through those clouds Eva. That mountain sure is photogenic! Love the stones in the lake. I find the few hot spots in the sky on the left a bit distracting.

Very nice shot! I like the feel of it. I would clone the hot whites on the left.

A favorite for a very good reason. beautiful image. I agree that some work on the left part of frame in the whites could be improved.

Beautiful! Some wonderful conditions you captured this in, Eva. Maybe you could tone down the brightest spots in the left sky, but just a wonderful scene! Nice work Eva!

Stunning! Love the razor sharp water line in front of the mountain and the glowing mountain peak.

I definitely prefer this version to the other you posted, Eva - the clouds add a ton of mystery! I love that there's still light on the mountain behind them, and it's peeking through. Excellent.

The smaller version does not do this image justice. Just an amazing scene well captured.

Definitely one of your best posts (and that's saying something) The color and clarity of the water is stunning. Outstanding image.

Eva, you lead me into the composition by interesting subsurface elements in the forground, finally culminating in an overwhelming view of the mountain. An exceptional image to me.

this is fantastic, eva!! such tranquility and drama at the same time. i love the detail in the foreground, but may consider a small crop off of the bottom to bring less focus to the soft area in the bottom middle of the frame (perhaps some water movement). i would hesitate to crop too much because the vastness of the shallow water and pebbles is perhaps most intriguing about this photo.

Great composition and light. Like the way the peek-a-boo golden mountain works with the golden foreground rocks.

The golden mountain and blue skies peaking through the cloud openings are real nice, as are the blues of the distant ripples and the subtle, effective vignette. The white sky on the left is slightly bothersome to me.
