This is a picture taken last summer that I haven't posted here.
This is Bachalpsee, a small lake just above Grindelwald/Switzerland. I got there the night before but some low clouds blocked the view to the mountains so I was hoping for better conditions the next morining. I woke up the next morning at 4.30 to a clear night sky. Unfortunately it was quiet windy so I didn't have any reflections. This was taken before sunrise just when i noticed the first light on the mountain peaks.

Gorgeous. I could see a touch cropped off of the sky to bring the peaks into more prominenct, but this works just fine as is. :toast:

Very dramatic image. Love the steel blue colors, your comp, the detail, the light. A reflection would have been a nice bonus but you dealt well with what you had in front of you.

Gorgeous scene and you have captured the mood. Love the play of light on the water and then the eye moves to the bright peak. Maybe a little off the top, however a brilliant image.

A nice picture for the wall. The lighting on the tip of the mountains is great, possibly some red colors are lost in this area. A serene atmosphere captured very well.

This is really stunning! This place is also one of my favorite locations, but usually I took photos at sunset there, with reflections. I like your composition. I don't miss the reflection, this deep blue works very well.

Beautiful shot Bill, I agree with Morris about the slight crop off the top.. but very nice as presented too!
